Registration
Our registry of preference is ASCA however we also have dogs registered with AKC, NSDR, and ASDR. The current dogs we have registered NSDR and ASDR will be our last. In the future we will only add quality ASCA and AKC dogs to our breeding program.
Testing
All of our breeding ASCA/AKC dogs will have at least the following genetic testing done some may have more:
OFA (hips & elbows)
~Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
CERF
~Canine Eye Registry Foundation
HSF4/HC
~Hereditary Cataracts ~
MDR1
~Multi-Drug Resistance
CEA
~collie eye anomaly
Prcd-PRA
~Progressive Retinal Atrophy
DM
~degenerative myelopathy
What does this mean to you? Well it means you will know for certain that any AKC/ASCA puppy purchased from me will not be afflicted by any of the above genetic issues.
We will never under any circumstances breed two merles together we do not believe in culling out the resulting double merle puppies. I know there are still some beeders out ther who do this in order to produce more merle puppies for sales. I would much rather have more tri's in my litters that are happy and heathy than knowingly bring unhealthy lives into this world. That is why our males are tri or bi colored and our females are merles so there is never any chance of accidents. If you are not aware of what a double merle is this page is very informative
